Day Labor Program Teams Up with SF Clean City Coalition for Cesar Chavez Street Cleaning Project
Beginning in February 2012, members of the San Francisco Day Labor Program will be cleaning the sidewalks and three parks on Cesar Chavez Street and the surrounding area. This project will result in more 1040 temporary jobs for member workers. Three workers will clean the streets daily, with one supervisor overseeing, Monday through Friday from February 2012-February 2013. This collaboration was made possible by Mayor Ed Lee, San Francisco Clean City Coalition and Felix Fuentes at the Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs.
