La Raza Centro Legal works with the low-income, monolingual Spanish-speaking and immigrant community and is seeking Pro Bono Attorneys to assist with our clinics, cases and presentations in the community.
Clinics Immigration Law Employment Law Monthly La Raza Centro Legal provides clinics to the community in immigration law and employment law clinics. Experiences immigration and employment law attorneys are sought to assist with these clinics Immigration Law In collaboration with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, La Raza Centro Legal hosts a bi-monthly immigration clinic. The clinic takes place the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 5:45 p.m. If you are interested in assisting with the clinic, please send your resume to David Rorick of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights at drorick@lccr.com. In addition, La Raza Centro Legal provides weekly clinics to the community during the day. Employment Law In collaboration with law students of Golden Gate, Hastings and USF, La Raza Centro Legal hosts a workers' rights clinic. Elder Rights During our senior law clinics, we assist seniors of our community in obtaining their public benefits, consumer rights and wills. We seek assistance as follows: Immigration Law During our immigration law clinics, we assist with naturalization, cancellation of removal, U-Visas, T-Visas, Asylum and Adjustments. We seek assistance with the following: Workers' Rights During the worker's rights clinics, we assist workers with small wage and hour claims. We seek assistance with the following: Youth Rights Through our youth and parent empowerment and organizing work, we find that many youth in the community need assistance as follows: Debt Collection During our various clinics, we see clients who are in need of debt collection assistance as follows: Police Abuse In our work with day laborers, we see many men who are unfairly treated by the police. We seek assistance as follows: Family Law During all of our work with the community, we see many clients who are unable to afford a family law attorney, especially in their custody and child support cases.
